In 1974, when Chris Earle was 11, his mother Donnie made a household decision that felt downright revolutionary: out went the family television, and on went CBC Radio—pretty much for good. In this funny, touching solo show, the acclaimed writer-performer and Second City alum (Radio :30, Russell Hill) revisits that turbulent, loving relationship through the sounds, stories, and unmistakably Canadian broadcasts that filled the room and helped shape a life.

Instead, veteran instructor Chris Earle focuses on what the form actually runs on — creativity, collaboration, agility, and play — in a setting built to feel supportive, safe, and entirely free of pressure. Through a series of games and exercises, participants will explore listening, spontaneity, shared creation, and the underrated art of being present. In other words, less stand-up panic, more joyful discovery.
