EC3 Welcomes New Team Members

EC3 has welcomed two new staff members to its team, with Chelsea Day joining as Director of Granting and Marcela Moreno taking on the role of Operations and Administration Manager.

Chelsea Day is a Peterborough/Nogojiwanong-based costume designer and stylist, has been active in the local theatre community through her work with 4th Line Theatre, Electric City Players and the Peterborough Theatre Guild. A Trent University graduate with a degree in English Literature and a diploma in Library Technology, she brings strong communication skills, organizational experience and a deep understanding of the needs of artists.

Marcela Moreno, originally from El Salvador, is a communications professional who moved to Peterborough three years ago and has quickly become connected to the city’s arts and culture scene. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University, specializing in Marketing and Consumer Culture, and brings experience in nonprofit, educational and private-sector settings, with a focus on operations, communications, data management and community engagement.

EC3 also offered thanks to Gabe Pollock, who left the organization in January to pursue writing and journalism with Peterborough Currents. Pollock served EC3 and the arts community as Director of Granting more than once, contributing to programs including GFIA, Artsweek, Poet Laureate, the Bierk Art Bursary, the Peterborough Arts Awards and COVID grant programs.

EC3 says it is grateful to the funders who made the new hires possible and looks forward to the continued support and growth of Peterborough’s arts and culture community.
