Take Me Home: Celebrating John Denver & Glen Campbell

Wednesday, April 29 • 7:30 PM
Market Hall Performing Arts Centre

Take Me Home: Celebrating John Denver & Glen Campbell isn’t here to reinvent the wheel — it’s here to remind you how beautifully those wheels used to roll.

This loving salute to two of the most unmistakable voices in country-pop history brings together the songs that still hit like open highway therapy: “Wichita Lineman,” “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” and “Annie’s Song,” along with a few deeper cuts for the faithful.

If Denver brought the mountain air and Campbell brought the ache, this show understands the assignment: warmth, melody, heartbreak, and the kind of craftsmanship that made these songs outlast the era that birthed them.

Backing it all is a killer lineup of musicians: Roger Williamson on pedal steel and guitar, Dr. Tom Hamilton on violin, mandolin, and vocals, David Skolnick on piano, guitar, and vocals, Abbey Sholzberg on bass, and John Collin on drums.

Call it nostalgia, call it comfort food, call it a night with songs that actually knew how to say something. Either way, Take Me Home promises an evening steeped in harmony, memory, and the durable magic of two artists who made earnestness sound like an art form.

Tickets: $65 incl. HST & Fees
