The Historic Market Hall
For 25 years, the Peterborough Pop Ensemble has been doing what the best vocal groups do: taking beloved songs, lifting them off the page, and sending them back into the room with heart, harmony, and just enough electricity to make them feel new again. Now, with Best of the Pops, the Ensemble marks its silver anniversary with a celebration built on the songs, moments, and crowd-pleasers that helped shape its history.
This special anniversary concert rounds up a mix of Pop Ensemble staples alongside audience and member favourites from years past—a look back at a quarter-century of music-making that has clearly left its mark. Expect the kind of rich harmonies, communal spirit, and feel-good momentum that have become the group’s calling card.
The set list reaches across eras and styles, with songs by James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, The Beach Boys, The Mamas and the Papas, ABBA, and more, making this the sort of night designed to hit a lot of sweet spots. Call it nostalgia, call it celebration, call it a reminder that great pop songs never really leave us.
Catch the Peterborough Pop Ensemble at Market Hall on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 7 p.m. for a milestone concert that promises to be equal parts retrospective and sing-along-worthy good time.
