Wild Irish Geese is a powerful and poignant tribute to the Irish settlers who forged new lives in the heart of Ontario. Centered on the extraordinary 1820s emigration plan led by Peter Robinson, this story traces the harrowing, hopeful journey of more than 2,000 Irish men, women, and children who fled devastating poverty in search of a future.

Landing in what was then called Scotts Plains, these families laid the foundation for what would become Peterborough. With grit, resilience, and deep community spirit, they carved out a new beginning from the Canadian wilderness, planting roots that would grow for generations.

This stirring production brings their legacy to life—honouring their struggles, celebrating their triumphs, and reconnecting us with the people whose determination helped shape a region. Whether you’re a descendant or simply drawn to the enduring story of immigration, Wild Irish Geese is a moving tribute to the courage it takes to leave everything behind and start again.

Tickets: Adult: $52 Youth (Ages 5-16): $45 Preview: $38
