Peterborough’s Howlin’ Fundraiser Breaks Records, Raises $20K for Animals in Need

The Peterborough Humane Society is thrilled to announce the success of its annual Howlin’ fundraiser, which brought together more than 110 guests — the largest crowd in the event’s history — for a howlin’ good time in support of animals in need.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, ticket holders, donors, and participants in both the live and silent auctions, the evening raised over $20,000 to help the Peterborough Humane Society continue its mission of caring for and finding loving homes for pets across the community.

Guests were also the first to see the premiere of “Love, Chosen,” a new video created in partnership with Unmanned AV and Can-Pet. The emotional short film parallels the adoption journeys of a young boy and a shelter dog, capturing the moment they become best friends. The video calls on the community to consider adoption and share the message widely so that more pets can find the families they are waiting for.

“This was our biggest and most successful Howlin’ yet,” says, Shawn Morey, CEO of Peterborough Humane Society.. “The energy in the room, the incredible support from our community, and the debut of ‘Love, Chosen’ made it a night to remember. Every dollar raised helps us provide shelter, care, and hope to pets who are still waiting for their own best friend.”

The Peterborough Humane Society extends heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who made the night possible. Together, the community is changing lives, one adoption at a time.
