The tribute to Styx and Bon Jovi comes to Peterborough Musicfest on Saturday, August 15, bringing together two songbooks built for raised fists, loud choruses, and people pretending they do not know every word until the chorus proves otherwise.
On one side, Styx brings the drama — soaring harmonies, arena-rock polish, prog-flavoured theatrics and songs that sound like they were designed to echo off the back wall of a stadium. On the other, Bon Jovi brings the denim, the swagger, the heartbreak, and the kind of anthems that can turn a park full of lawn chairs into a Jersey parking lot by the second verse.
This is not background music. This is full-volume nostalgia with a lighter in one hand and a guilty pleasure in the other.
On August 15, Crystal Faith delivers the best of both worlds: the grandeur of Styx, the punch of Bon Jovi, and enough big, shiny rock and roll to remind everyone that subtlety was never the point.
