Eldorado Kicks Open the Doors With Diamond Dave & the Smoke Eaters

Eldorado Music Bar & Social Pub
Friday, September 4, 9pm

Peterborough’s newest live-music room is wasting no time turning up the volume.

Located where Jethro’s used to be, Eldorado Music Bar & Social Pub, at 137 Hunter Street West, celebrates its grand opening Friday, September 4, with Diamond Dave & the Smoke Eaters taking over the room for an afternoon set from 9pm – midnight.

It’s an appropriately no-frills way to launch a place built around music, drinks and the kind of social-pub atmosphere that Hunter Street does particularly well. Rather than ease into things quietly, Eldorado is opening with a live band, a featured guest and a clear signal that music is going to be central to the room.

Diamond Dave & the Smoke Eaters headline the opening-day bill, with Ollie Mae, 6–8, also featured and Jake Ontario listed as special guest.

For Peterborough’s downtown music scene, another room putting live entertainment front and centre is always worth paying attention to. Eldorado arrives on a stretch of Hunter already known for nightlife, restaurants and late-night traffic, and a dedicated music bar could add another useful stage to the mix.
