The Historic Market Hall
For the first time ever, Market Hall is about to get a swamp-rock baptism courtesy of Toronto’s own rock ’n’ roll supergroup, Tommy Youngsteen. This crew of heavy-hitting Canadian players—featuring members and alumni from Stars, Sam Roberts Band, The Arkells, The Trews, Lowest of the Low, and Serena Ryder’s band—are taking on the very best of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
It’s a trip straight back to the smoky days of late ’60s counterculture, when CCR was the soundtrack to both protest marches and back porch beer sessions. Expect all the anthems that still rattle the bones—“Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Proud Mary,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and plenty more deep cuts to keep the night rolling.
With over 50 million albums sold and a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, CCR’s legacy is untouchable—but Tommy Youngsteen knows how to do justice to the legends. This isn’t just a tribute; it’s a full-throttle revival, played by musicians who live and breathe classic rock.
Market Hall hasn’t seen anything like this before—and after a night like this, it won’t be the same again.
