Ribfest 2025: Smoke, Sauce, and Summer Vibes Take Over Crary Park

Peterborough’s Ribfest returned in 2025 with the kind of smoky, saucy energy that reminded everyone why it’s a summer staple. This year, the festival moved to a new location at Del Crary Park, giving attendees more space to roam, enjoy the lakefront views, and soak up the lively atmosphere. The move seemed to amplify the energy, making the event feel both familiar and fresh as thousands of hungry attendees sampled tender ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and other barbecue delights from some of the top pitmasters in the country. The air was thick with the aroma of slow-cooked meats, and the festive energy made the lakeside park feel like a mini culinary carnival.

Beyond the culinary offerings, Ribfest 2025 featured a diverse lineup of musical acts. Friday’s “Rock the Lake” saw tribute bands like Hysteria (Def Leppard) and Who Made Who (AC/DC) electrifying the crowd, complemented by local talents such as Burning Bridges and Misfits in Action. Saturday’s Hootenanny brought Canadian country star (and hometown girl) Elyse Saunders to the stage, alongside local artists like Georgia Rose and Steve Waters Band. Sunday’s “Patio Party” offered a more relaxed vibe with performances by Vancamp, Amberlynn Rutherford, and Jeanne Truax. The combination of music and food created a dynamic festival atmosphere that kept people moving, eating, and celebrating well into the evening.

Ribfest wasn’t just about the food and music. Artisan vendors showcased unique crafts and cornhole tournaments brought out some friendly competition under the sun. VIP areas offered a more exclusive vibe, letting guests enjoy premium drinks and mingle with performers.

The 2025 edition of Ribfest highlighted not only the culinary skills of top chefs but also the strength of Peterborough’s community spirit. Local organizers and volunteers ensured the event ran smoothly, transforming the park into a bustling hub of food, music, and celebration. Families, friends, and music lovers of all ages found something to enjoy, making the weekend a true festival experience.

By the end of it, Ribfest 2025 had done more than satisfy appetites—it created memories, brought the community together, and reminded everyone why this festival has become a beloved tradition in Peterborough’s summer calendar, now with a fresh perspective at its new lakeside home.
