Market Hall
Nicholas Campbell & The Metre Cheaters are back at Market Hall for the third straight year, which is starting to feel less like a booking and more like a springtime obligation. Frankly, Peterborough could do worse.
This time around, Campbell and company roll in with fresh ammunition: their third album, People Like To Talk, out January 23, 2026, and the kind of road-tested live show that knows exactly how to turn a respectable evening into something sweatier, louder, and a lot more fun. Expect a hot-wired mix of rockabilly, honky tonk, and rock ’n’ roll — music with grease under its nails and no interest in behaving itself.
Adding to the bill is Toronto’s Jamie Oliver, The Country Crooner, a special guest whose presence only sweetens the deal. Altogether, it’s the kind of lineup built for people who like their live music with some snap to it: sharp songs, real players, and enough kick to remind you why seeing a band in the flesh still matters.
At this point, Nicholas Campbell & The Metre Cheaters aren’t just returning to Market Hall — they’re making a habit of setting the place off.
