Randy Bachman discovered Calgary-born country pop sensation Lindsay Ell at the tender age of 15, and since then, she’s been taking care of business in a big way. This award-winning singer, songwriter, and philanthropist picked up the guitar at eight and started penning songs by ten. Now, with years of experience under her belt, she can proudly say she’s graced some of the world’s biggest stages.
Lindsay Ell’s journey has been one of sheer determination and grit. Internationally celebrated for her distinctive guitar playing and powerful voice, she’s earned numerous accolades, including nominations for the ACM Award for New Female Vocalist (2019 and 2020), Music Event of the Year (2020), CMT Awards (Social Superstar, 2015 and Collaborative Video of the Year, 2019), CMA Awards (Musical Event of the Year, 2019), JUNO Awards (Country Album of the Year, 2021), and a whopping 20 CCMA Awards.
Her talent took her to the Top 5 on the US Billboard charts with her hit duet “What Happens in a Small Town” with Brantley Gilbert—an incredible feat for a Canadian artist. Recently, Lindsay has been the opening act for country superstars Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, and Brad Paisley on their global tours.
But Lindsay’s talents don’t stop at music. She received her first Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Host or Presenter in a Factual or Reality/Competition program for her role on Canada’s Got Talent, the highest-rated reality TV show in Canada.
She’s also set to join Shania Twain’s Las Vegas residency as Twain’s lead guitarist and has recently shared the stage with OneRepublic. Forbes wasn’t wrong when they called her “one of the most exciting and talented young artists.”
In December 2013, her debut single, “Trippin’ on Us,” became the most added song on country music radio in both Canada and the United States. Since then, Guitar World has hailed her as “a true triple threat,” Taste of Country calls her “a star in the making,” and Country Weekly describes her as “a distinct figure in the modern country recording camp.”
This marks Lindsay Ell’s first appearance on the Fred Anderson Stage, and it promises to be unforgettable
